Right now I'm pretty much set on Enkei RPF1s in 17x8 with some sticky summer tires. Ideally this would be used as a track setup, and I'd switch back to the stock wheels/tires for road driving or any low grip shenanigans.
I decided on the RPF1s because they are about 4lbs lighter per corner than stock (~16lbs each), they are relatively inexpensive, and in silver they look pretty good with the ultramarine fr-s. They also come in an offset that will maintain approximately the same wheel bearing loads.
So my question to Oppo, does anyone know of any wheel that fits the FR-S, which is lighter for the same or less money, but can still stand up to some abuse?

I think RPF1s are your best bet. They are pretty strong, light, and cheap. Though the lack the bit of sex appeal some other wheels have. I however cannot get these out of my head. . .
They are going to be my everything wheels, except for winter where the stock wheels go back on.

Those are the gram lights, right? You sticking with stock diameter or going up to 18s?

I am probably going 18. For style, and later down the road, if I want a big brake kit(if I start doing track days and want some extra performanc) then I can get it without worrying. Luckily they are pretty light, 1lb lighter than stock for the size I want. No RPF1s though.

BBKs is another reason I'm looking at the 17x8 RPF1s
The Essex Sprint kit drops 10lbs per corner (O.o) over stock in the front. It has confirmed fitment with the RPF1s

Yeah the weight loss is pretty ridiculous with BBKs, but the price is as well(what like 2K or something?). I have heard it is a tight squeeze on some 17 inch wheels and I just want to be safe.

Yeah if you want big brakes on all 4 corners it's gonna put you back about $4k or more

I'm probably going with RPF1s too, though in black to match my WRX's trim.
They're hot.

You should check the wheel fitment forum on ft86club.com, it's got a huge amount of different wheels

Yeah, that's where I did my comparisons. The only thing that really came close was Wedsport TC105ns, which are about a pound lighter, but also cost an extra $120 per corner.
I also like how the RPF1s have only a 3mm difference from the stock offset, this will keep similar to factory intended bearing and suspension component loading.
